Can anyone tell me the name of the music and the particular episode which had the Two Ronnies finale singing the words' whilst dressed in uniforms:
'Ain't it a pity the pubs in the city all close at half past ten. If I had the power they'd close for an hour an open up again'.
I cannot remember any more but this has stuck with me for many years and I would love to see the whole finale again if possible.

Aint it a pity the pubs in the city all close at half past ten
If I had the power they'd close for an hour and open up again
I could get chronic on vodka and tonic till any time I like
And while the policemen watch me car I'd nip home on his bike
Oh how I'd love to eat anything I wanted
Bangers and beans, and enormous hunks of fried bread
Then chop and chips, and steak and kidney pie
By a girl who likes cooking who's big and good looking
Whose dumplings are double the size
And then we'd all have a damm good time
On bangers and beans or vodka and lime
To eat and drink ain't a bloomin crime
Enough is enough - let's go and get stuffed together!
The tune is the march "Blaze Away", composed by Abe Holtzman, an American, whose most famous composition it is.
That's my pleasure Susan. Don't mention it.

I like the mastermind sketch-answering the question before last. Very clever.

Oh the nostalgia! Just watched the clip and it took me back to when I first saw it and I honestly haven't seen it since, until now. Thanks for all you answers and help in finding it, I knew I hadn't dreamt it all those years ago!
