On The Chase they can "steal" another contestant's hard earned winnings!
I saw the ending of yesterdays Chaser and thought that questions given to the Chaser were easier than the ones given to the participants.
They often seem to be easier IMO!
tiggerblue - that is often the case.

Everyone wants their 5 minutes of fame
I very rarely watch it so I don't know the general gist of it but this was my observation based on one show. I was at my parents and they watch it all time.
This is a major bug-bear of mine too!

The Chase has to be one of the harder quizzes. As you have to take part in 3 rounds of questions and may still walk away with nothing.
Also, just because you go the middle offer you are not 'playing it safe'!
Could be for the same sort of reasons that some with space for rent in Braintown post on here.
Because they can.
I think it would be fairer if the Chaser got the same questions as the participants.I watched it a few weeks ago and his questions were definitely easier and the presenter seemed to ask the questions more quickly.A bit harsh Tora Tora Tora- I'm very often stumped at questions and I wouldn't describe myself as knowing nothing lol Perhaps nerves get the better of them.
I think partly it's because the quiz shows would rather have people less likely to win as it reduces the money they have to pay out!

Yours, a rejected Chase applicant.
It's like million pound drop, they never have anyone on over 30.

so every one posting on here is thick douglas, way to go!

well they are all easy if you know them.
They are offered envelopes containing two sets of questions & the contestants pick which set they want,

But agree with quinie it would be fairer if they had the same questions.
Do they ?

Maybe they mistake knowing lots of interesting stuff with knowing lots of irrelevant stuff.
So they can take the lower offer and split the thousands if they win! It really annoys me.
