How was actor Hugo Weaving paid for the Matrix and Lord of the Rings trilogies? I heard that he might have worked out a deal for a percentage of box office for one or both films. I'm wondering if he gambled on two acting jobs that paid little up front but made up for it on the backend, as has happened with some other longshot blockbusters.
