I'm a big fan of the Tempe Brennan books and have only just found out that they have been made in to a tv series.
Is it worth watching? Is the series true to the books?

I think i have up to season 5 on dvd.
In the tv show, tempe is a writer of novels though with the pen name kathy reichs lol

I've read all of Kathy Reichs books and also seen all episodes of Bones, they're quite different but each offer something you might like. I find the books to be darker than the show, which to me has a light hearted side, the lead character Tempe Brennan is socially inept and has a very good story about her past.
Worth the watch, but start from the beginning.

We watch this show religiously. It must be popular, it's even on TV here in NZ! If I have a criticism, it's that I don't really like Emily Deschanel's acting, and it would appear the norm in Washington DC is to strip all cadaver's of their skin and determine the murderer from the skeleton alone.
Entertaining none the less.
