I see this perennial nuisssance has got himself thrown out of another party.Surely the question must be asked about who invited him in the first place.

I think one of his very appeals to a younger audience is quite simply that fact that older people find him so incredibly annoying and disrespectful.

I must say I did learn something from his antics - I had no idea about just how closely Hugo Boss had been associated with the Nazis
I have no idea what you're talking about (what party?) but Russell Brand is an extremely intelligent person, and someone who is well aware of what's going on around us.
Instead of worrying about him being "thrown out of parties" you should pay attention and listen to him. You never know, you might actually learn something...

Don't really want to listen to his whiny voice and come to that nor the voice of his sickening friend Jonathan Ross.
Oooookaaaaay.

Then don't.

He may have brains but he never learned manners and "clever" doesn't mean "thoughtful" or "right" Many very nasty people indeed are intelligent. and yes I agree about Wossy too. he (RB) reminds me of Howard Stern, another dirty good for nothing
I heard Al Murray being interviewed recently. Now he sounded both clever and sensible.
//Russell Brand is an extremely intelligent person//

There's a world of difference between intelligence and sense. He's an idiot.
Yes, a very clever idiot.
Horrid man!

Sorry,typo, I have listened etc.

That's the problem with some of the great British public, there are a few who cannot distinguish between a performer and the character they play.
Al Murray was educated at Oxford and has an MA in Modern History.

The recent furore over Lee Nelson's comments about Scotland were taken literally by some. They failed to realise that Nelson is a character fleshed out by Simon Brodkin, who has a medical degree.

Davinderjit Bains who just got done for filming his patients with a watch camera also had a medical degree

I don't believe he ventured into the world of stand-up and playing several characters for a comedy show though, so your point is?
I think that ck1 is suggesting that having a medical degree doesn't automatically make you sensible!
My point is that having a medical degree doesn't have any relevance to the argument, al murray's and Russell brand's university education doesn't make any difference to whether they are sensible, what opinions they have or what type of characters they are
Of course it does woofgang, just ask sqad !.
The odd thing with Al Murray is that on-stage he has no problem ad-libbing with members of the audience as a part of his act yet on the radio he often seems to struggle to put words together to form a sentence.
Al Murray is the same on TV when he is reading autocues, complete shambles. When he's doing stand up and making things up as he goes along he is excellent, never heard him on the radio though
Perhaps Al Murray is the act and he really is a pub landlord.
