On Is it Something I Said. The most annoying man ever on my tv, after Jimmy Carr and Alan Carr and a few others.

Surely those aren't his own teeth?

I think Micky Flanagan is very funny, mind you i like Alan Carr as well, not Jimmy though.
I find most 'comedians' irritating and annoying. Jimmy Carr top of my hate list, followed by Russell Brand, Paul Merton, and anybody else who appears on 'Have I Got News For You'
I really like Micky Flanagan and all the others mentioned by smoneybags, but I don't like "Is It Something I Said?" mainly because I can't stand that David Mitchell one. We're all different,luckily....
Morning you miserable buggers. :)
I don't like television ,can you get a rebate on the license fee.
About as funny as "Truckers" and the unbelievably unfunny "Citizen Kahn" among others.
You going out?...out out? Or just out?

Love him :-)
I like him. Funny man. Seen him live at an 'intimate pre-tour gig' with 150 others. Having said that, I've seen him recently on various tv shows and thought What The Funicular? Should stick to stand-up.
Sorry, got mixed up with my Comedians,I think Mickey Flanagan is brilliant at "Stand-Up",got him confused with Greg Davies.
Can tolerate Micky more than Alan Carr, Keith Lemon, Russell Brand etc I like the show and David Mitchell but hate when he swears it doesn't suit him, they all think they have to use the F word to get a laugh and it spoils the show.
Caribeing,DON'T watch Paddy McGuiness's DVD then, the worst DVD that was ever bought for me.Every other word was either "F" or "C".
Why is swearing so bad?

They're just words....
Ecuse me for name-dropping, but I recently interviewed Ade Edmondson, and he talked about his passion for playing mandolin with his band The Bad Shepherds.

After a career in comedy, Ade confesses that he now finds the concept of trying to make people laugh, essentially by bombarding them with 'humour' to be quite unappealing, and given the approach of most modern commedians, Iam inclined to agree with him.

i am perfectly happy to concede that this may be a 'generation' thing - we are both in our late fifties, and it is perfectly possible that modern humour is simply not designed for us, in the same way that 'alternative' comedy served as a kick against the dinner-suited racisist chauvenists who populated clubs and tv in the 1970's.
''Ade confesses that he now finds the concept of trying to make people laugh, essentially by bombarding them with 'humour' to be quite unappealing''

Just as well as he was never funny imo.
I saw Mickey Flanagan live and he was brilliant. The dad's advice to his son on dating was hilarious. Personally, I can't stand Russell Brand, Sarah Millican (we've heard enough about your ninny!), or Paul Foot. Is It Something I Said is ok, but not as good as QI or 8 out of 10 Cats. Sean Lock and John Richardson also favourites of mine.
Love John Richardson....

And Sean Lock....Jimmy Carr....I like all o them :-)
I'm going to have to look up half of these peeps, I've never heard of them.

Maybe I am being too judgemental re Micky Flanagan. I've only seen him on Is It Something I Said and he seems to be posturing for camera - hair flicking, false smiles and laughs. He just doesn't look comfortable at all.

He is on 'Mock the Week' quite often, the programme is very funny but it has strong language if you are easily offended ! :-))
