as above earlier today. susan boyle sang really well.......I cant remember the male singer who sang near the end, never been a fan of his, ruined a lovely carol.
Michael Ball. I was very surprised to see Oh Holy Night had been voted as the nation's favourite carol. Who votes for these? Where was Once In Royal David's City or Away in a Manger
That was probably Michael Ball - not very good was he. Overrated wind bag.
I always think that song/carol sounds better when sung by a woman. Have a listen to 'O Holy Night' by Martina McBride.
Thank you,Ann.I've just logged in and listened to Michael Crawford -thoroughly enjoyed it.I love that carol-it brings back memories of the Christmas concerts held in our local hospital. One of the receptionists sang it -what a beautiful voice she had. What was the name of the Christmas poem you recited, please?
Martina McBride? who the heck is she? must be the worst "singer" I've ever heard, surely no one would voluntarily listen to that awful racket, was she dunk?
That live version posted by Ann ^^^^^^ above doesn't do it justice, it's rubbish but the studio version is better. She's a Country Western singer if you didn't know her. The Frank Spencer version is also good.
