last night Monday 9pm, hosted by Mathew wright channel 5...........what a mess the channel and the presenter made of this ( what could have been an interesting debate )

Anne, I couldn't agree more. An unrepresentative one sided audience and a biased presenter clearly unqualified to lead a serious discussion. An absolute shambles!

Agree, it wasn't all that good, but I wish I could have been in the audience, because nobody reminded the fat woman from Benefit street, that she lost her job for stealing!

I'd say it would be really hard to find another job with a conviction for theft.

Not very PC - but true. She is a big fat woman. Peter Stringfellow was the only one who talked any sense when he said the discussion (if you can call it that) shouldn't be about the elderly or the sick, but about people claiming benefits they're not entitled to - in other words theft is exactly what the programme should have been about.

I agree, but she wouldn't be on benefits if she hadn't stolen!

Sorry I will refrain from '' the big fat woman '' The large lady. who had a makeover, and I can understand why some of the audience, mainly women didn't have jobs, the way they shouted and screamed at the panel!

I watched the City v Chelsea game and intended to watch this programme on 4+1. However, immediately after the game had ended, i tuned in and watched 10 mins. And 10 minutes of the Odious Edwina Currie is more than my stomach could endure. Remembering that the equally odious Katie Hopkins was also on the panel, i did not tune in to 4+1.

oh...............Edwina currie. I found her a bit difficult to understand ( needs better dentures ?) but she did say anyone can walk into a food bank and just get bag fulls of groceries for free. now how good is that ?

You can't just walk in and get free food. You have to be referred (social worker, health visitor, doctor, etc) and the number of visits you are allowed is limited.
