T W A U ... The Chase....today's...

I'm in a bit in two minds about what he did by taking the 50k.....I was shouting at the t.v. NOOOOOOOOO. I can understand him saying, well at least two people will have won something, and Eugene thinking he was going to be evicted by taking the money. Davina said that the other housemates didn't hear BB tell Eugene that if he said no to taking the money they would have doubled the prize money from 100k to 200k. Imagine if Ant-nee and Makosi had heard that.....omg.....they where peeved enough when Eugene went back into the living room, knowing that he had took the 50k....Kinga was the only one who said, I'd have done the same thing as you Eugene, but I would expect her to say that, she knows what the public think, she knows she doesn't have a chance of winning.
I think this was a test of how money hungry this lot are, if Anthony or Makosi had gone into the diary room they would have said no....straight away....200k for doing nothing...easy money.
I hope Eugenes decision doesn't lose him votes.....I STILL THINK HE DESERVES TO WIN.....GIVE HIM THE OTHER 50K

I'm sure I heard that right about the housemates not knowing that it would be doubled to 200k...except Eugene...could be wrong though.
You have got it the wrong way round. BB told the housemates about the prize money doubling up to 200,000 (if he had refused the 50,000), and Eugene was not told. According to
http://www.bigbrother.digitalspy.co.uk
Anthony let slip about the 200,000 option in the middle of the conversation afterwards, but Eugene apparently did not register or notice what Anthony had said. So Eugene still doesn't know about the 200,000 option (yet).
I'm in two minds too Lou. I was shouting at him to take the money and I was glad he did but then after I started wondering what I would do in the same position and I changed my mind about Eugene.
I know he took it as he thought it would mean there was two winners instead of one and he honestly thought he was going to leave the other three to fight it out for the remaining cash. That is really honourable and his modesty about not believing he was going to win is admirable too.
I just can't help thinking though that to come in half way and not to have gone through the entire twelve(?) weeks, it would have been more honourable to think that its not fair on the others just to take away half of the prize like that when they've endured so much for so long. Don't want to start a mutiny or anything as I know Eugene has got a lot of fans but does anyone agree?
In the 60 seconds they gave him he seemed characteristically bemused but he tried to think it through, he didn.t know the prize money would double if he said no; he didn't know that he would be staying; he has no idea he is favourite to win and I think his intentions were good, plus he has had as hard a time , if not harder, than some of the others, going into the house as he did was hard, wearing next to nothing for the first few days must have been mind blowingly embarassing for him, then trying to fit in and settle into an already established house was not easy. He has done well, and remained himself. Despite Kinga trying to draw him into lewd and personal conversation and trying to embarass him even further. He has a strong self awareness which, whereas the others seem to want to 'find out about themselves' and 'discover something about themselves', he is more interested in studying and getting along with other people. He will return to obscurity and love it. Go Eugene!
If he comes out of this with 100,000 he definately will not blow it all on himself, you can tell that.
If you have read the Sun today re Makosi being an Actress and being fast-tracked by Endemol through the auditions (at their expense) then no-one would doubt whether Eugene made the right decision. They must be absolutely sick their deceipt has back fired.
Eugene has also been the only housemate who has fretted about getting his job back. The rest are talking film premieres, releasing singles and now with Makosi maybe trying to get an acting job.
Eugene is 100% decent and the only one who considers other people.
P.S Have you heard him swearing or being at all offensive?
No me neither.
Craig blasted Eugene for taking the cash. He (Craig) said if it was him in tha postiton he would have said no so his buddy, Anthony could get all the winnings. But I would ask this of Graig. If Anthony had been evicted and he was left and was in the diarly room faced with 50,000 who he take it? YEAH to right he would
Agree with you Buddy about Eugene not being offensive - I loved it the other night when Kinga said that he says thank you too much and he responded with 'I'd rather be known for saying thankyou instead of f*** off'. But if he was 100% decent and always thought about other people then he would have let the people who had been in from the start try to win the 100K they were playing for.
The only thing I liked about him taking the cash is that it showed he had some balls! I do want him to win though, just for the record x
Of course he did!
He doesn't owe anyone in the house anything and think how much he would kick him self if he didn't take it and didn't win! He's a sensible chap!
Still want him to win though! Especially after Makosi's comment ' I wouldn't have done it', just shut up you idiot!! And did anyone notice how Craig didn't even say goodbye to Eugene, even after Eugene was saying 'well done for getting this far' etc? I think he made a point of even saying goodbye to Kinga and not Eugene!
I wonder if Eugene ever comes on AB?!
I'm glad Eugene took the cash, he's the most decent one in there and I only hope he wins the other 50K as well. I honestly think he thought he would be evicted and that the remaining money would be fought over by the other three. If I were him and were stuck in a house with three morons who haven't been particularly nice to me I would take the cash and get out of there which is what he thought would happen. The only reason Makosi (totally mental) and Anthony said they wouldn't have done it is because they think they are going to win. Notice how Makosi who usually legs it the diary room before anybody else when BB requests "a housemate" didn't move last night, probably because she thought they were going to do a "Stuart" from BB5 and evict the person who went in there.
I also don't get this thing that some people think Eugene or Kinga don't deserve to win because they came in half way through. That's not their fault and the whole idea of BB is that BB makes the rules and can change them any time it wants. They have as much right to win as anybody else. Vote Eugene to win!!!!
PS Have just switched on the live feed and Makosi has taken her wig off - she looks like Worzel Gummidge!
If I had had the same choice as Eugene (i.e. not knowing about the 200,000 option), I would have made the same decision (taken the money).
If I had known about the 200,000 option, I would have refused the 50,000.
It was interesting to notice that Kinga and Makosi both said that they would have done the same thing as Eugene, and that Anthony said that he would have let it double up to 200,000 - and it turned out that Anthony did not realise that Eugene didn't know of the twist! i.e. all of their decisions were logical in light of what they thought the choice was.
