Since Lost started I have tried to remember/google/IMDB the series I used to watch on a Sunday evening in the late 60's early 70's.  It was on for about 12 weeks and had a story similar to Lost.  A plane crashed on an island with lots of young people. Rober Lipton, Peggy Lipton and Bobby Sherman were in it and Tori Spelling. No joy so any ideas?

I have no idea what it is but Tori Spelling was only born in 1973 so either you are mistaken in thinking she was in it or the series was on a lot later than you think.

Can you remember approx how old she was when she was in it - i.e a toddler, a teenager, an adult etc?

I had a feeling I had the name wrong, but the female star was the daughter of a 1970's TV producer so I was thinking of Aaron Spelling, who else could it have been?  She had long California Blonde hair, a bit of a hippy, like Susan Clarke but younger looking.  It was called the 'Something' Generation.

Could it be:-

New People, The
A drama series from 1969 in which a plane carrying a group of students crashes on a Pacific island. Luckily, the island was previously home to a nuclear test programme and has all the comforts of home (presumably once destined to be blown up in a test), leaving the students free to establish their own society. Co-created by Aaron Spelling (Charmed) and Rod Serling (Twilight Zone / Night Gallery), it appears that the programme has partly fallen into obscurity due to its bizarre running length - forty-five minutes

Was she Tiffany Bolling?

Perhaps "The New People" ,a la Aaron Spelling, but with none of the cast you list.

A bit of crossposting going on!

...and if this is the prog. you're thinking of, you are not alone.
