Just saw 15 to 1 is back on.What a shame Channel 4 have ruined a great quiz programme in such a way.Hope it's not long before it's lights out from T.V. for the awful Sandi Toksvig.

I really don't understand why people get so annoyed at TV. My son can't watch Rick Stein for some reason.

Yes,he did have a moustache in the early series.My main gripe with this new version is that it doesn't flow as the old series did.We get too much getting to know people and her continuous "lights out"when people's 3 lives have gone.For me it's been ruined.

I like her too but I must admit I'm not keen on the 15-1. She's great on QI and she writes very well. It' s a matter of taste, it wouldn't be much good if everyone liked the same people and the same thing - it's what makes life interesting.

If she just got on with the questions instead of the inane banter, I'd watch it again. Shame, cos I used to love the old series. Remember the winner who answered every single question correctly in the final? Brilliant.

I agree they've ruined what was a good programme by choosing an inappropriate presenter, and stretching a half-hour show to a full hour. It's unwatchable! I appeared on the William G. Stewart version several times, and he was a brilliant, fearsome inquisitor.

I think she hosts it very well and she can only follow the format given to her.

The guys with the big glasses but no vision will eventually homogenise quiz programmes, catering for the lowest common denominator.
Tipping Point if you will.
Or that dross with the boxes that Tidybeard fronts.

Just goes to show remakes never work there will only be one William G Stewart, Sandy Toksvig unsuitable quizmaster, can't watch it!

Come on methyl, The News Quiz is as scripted as any other panel show, esp. from the BBC.
What's needed is a straight forward, no nonsense compere, preferably ticking as few boxes as possible along the way.

I agree methyl, I like Sandi Toksvig - no one can be as good as William G of course but she'll do fine for me. I watched yesterday and noticed something of a makeover. New specs and hair style and also a nice tailored jacket instead of something that looked like it came out of her fathers wardrobe! Keep up the good work Sandi!
