A film Question

I know there are many films about time travel and I cant remember much about this one so not many clues. I think I watched it in the 90`s on TV.

Man goes back in time to right wrongs

But he shoots the person who was going to commit a murder before they did it.

He used a colt 45

In some of the crimes that type of gun hadn't been invented.

it finished with hero killing someone just before they killed his girlfriend

travel machine was a blue light rectangle.

If no one recognizes this film I will make it it was brilliant. lol

I think this was 'Timestalkers' starring Lauren Hutton - it involved a trip back to the Old West, hence the Colt 45.

I love time travel films, its perhaps my favourite genre. If you want to try and track down one of the finest, then there was a Czech film called:

"Tomorrow I'll Wake Up and Scald Myself with Tea "

it was broadcast by the BBC back in the early 1980s and its not been shown anywhere else since, sadly. If I had a time travel machine, I'd probably go back and watch it all over again!
