She seems to be not as bad as she came across on the benefit St Documentary, and I admire her for putting up with the stick she had from the media.

Hope her kids will benefit from the money she is making now.

Maybe she couldn't get a job after she broke the law and then got stuck in a vicious circle which caused her to be depressed. There are people on here with criminal records who post about how difficult it is to get employment.

I'm appreciating how the non judgemental contributors are allowing this thread to be be hi-jacked by pious, sanctimonious people who clearly haven't ever truly been on their 'uppers' and are as mean spirited as to dispute her depression.

I won't even add what I really really think of them nor Dee Kelly.

no sherradk she was probably just lazy. Depression is one of the easiest things to fake to get disability allowance. I'm so pleased for her that her 'depression' lifted exceptionally quickly and sufficiently for her to be able to cope with the publicity she has received following her starring role on 'Benefits Britain'. Someone genuinely suffering from depression would probably never have agreed to go on the programme in the first place.

kylesmum you are describing yourself -you constantly show yourself to be judgmental, pious, and the banner holder for the 'underdog' . You have no idea of anyone's background on this forum yet jump to conclusions that 'they have never been here or never experienced that so their opinions are of no value and they are hijacking a thread. If you can't deal with opinions that contradict your own I suggest you steer clear of Forums. For your esteemed info I have extensive personal experience of Depression and I would suggest you address your superiority complex as no one on here actually needs your permission to 'continue.'

Mamyalynne - She did not pull herself out of a dark place -she was given publicity because of her horrible personality and her 'flaunting' the benefit system. If the TV had not come knocking on her door she would still be there where she was before. I doubt she'd be filling in applications for check out girl at Aldi cos she was getting more from the State in Benefits.

She had a stroke of luck then and with help and advice has made a success out of it - I can see no point in speculating about 'what if' the TV company had never done the programme.
