The 2 families had previously been good friends,and since his son was gone he said he wanted to help Tom have a male model/friend in his life as he hoped it would have happened if their family situations had been reversed.

I know I'm in a minority here but I've never seen this programme. I understand the first series was very good. Maybe if it's repeated, I can catch up then.

It's simply the best detective drama on TV since Morse... casting scripting everything is superb.....

The only thing wrong with it is the overloud, unnecessary and unwanted 'background' noise drowning out the dialogue. Spoils a very good drama.

I have given up on this series. Cannot understand a lot of the dialogue what with the "background music" and David Tennant's accent - it is all too much of a bother. Spoils a good programme.

Who owns the caravan?

I think the caravan was owned by the character played by Pauline Quirke. She was living there as a recluse after her husband had abused/murdered (?) a child in the past. She left suddenly after her secret was discovered in series 1.

It is the caravan that the Pauline Quirk character lived in but I don't know who owns it.
We said last night that eight episodes will probably be too much. It already seems to be dragging. Shame.
