I have been recording the re-runs of The Avengers on one of the minor TV channels, but I had to delete one to allow the present Mrs Hughes to watch Eastenders, and it has taken all the scheduled recordings off.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find them, and get set up again?
Thanks, Lynne, but I'm still cooling down after getting my nightly fix of Emma Peel at 8pm on True Entertainment. (It was even sillier than usual tonight but still great fun anyway!).
Do you ever find that there are certain familiar words that, although you hear them frequently, you don't actually know the exact dictionary definition of them?
I've just put 'iconic' into that category and had to google it before answering!
Terry Nation had unusual control over the rights to his scripts so that, for quite some time, he was able to stop other writers bringing back the Daleks into Doctor Who.
However he's probably best remembered for Blake's 7 (and, for those who like to see the negative points in someone's career, making a complete mess of Tony Hancock's scripts).
Amazing to see that Patrick McNee is still around at the age of 93. A colourful youth; at the age of 14 he was part of the guard of honour at the funeral of George V but was later expelled from Eton for selling pornography and acting as a bookie's runner.
Bercow could never see eye to eye with anyone because he is a cross-eyed dwarf far better suited to a comedy role in a B-rated cartoon than Speaker of the House. If this remark gets me banned , so be it.

Sounds about right to me, Jackdaw33! (Am I the only one who thinks that he looks like a poorly-scripted Griff Rhys Jones in that clip?)
