I don't think they should show these award ceremonies on the telly. Such a waste of time and air space - nobody really cares.
Let the celebs have their moment of glory but if anyone wants to see the awards being presented - go to the actual show presentation and announce the results in the press the next day for those who give a flying funky monkey.
These awards dos ruin the nights TV schedules. Stick a film on instead.

I liked the Clive James bit.

Watched it and then realised I had wasted two hours used to like these award shows when I knew the shows and actors. The categories were weird, Claudia Winkelman V Ant and Dec etc best part was the tribute to the late actors, celebrities!

The Fellowship award could not have gone to a nicer chap. It was the only bit I caught and was delighted to see Jon Snow being awarded.
