Sorry Ken

ummmm, I don't think his aunt done herself or her family any favours by shouting out "No Justice, No Peace" and doing the black power salute.

And as for the idiot in the flat cap saying what if the police shot him for carrying an umbrella....well, words fail me
What a load of tosh.

Shoot the criminal before he kills you/us!

The police shouldn't have to tread on eggshells when something like this happens, they had black community leaders with them but it's a waste of time when most of their community aren't singing from the same hymn sheet.

I felt sorry for the black police officer getting stick for doing his job, Damned if you do, Damned if you don't
But it was admitted that black people being stopped and searched was too disproportionate with white people.
Question Author
Was that for individuals or gangs?
Not sure. I did see some interviews with well respected black men who claimed if you drove a nice car you're likely to get stopped.

One of them was the sportsman in a wheel chair (can't remember his name)

Anyway...this is about Mark Duggan.
What has colour got to do with it?!!!
/Nice to see his family, friends and supporters slate the police yet no mention of why he was carrying a gun./

The documentary I saw had independent who saw a police officers jump out of the car and hide something behind a wall and low and behold in that exact place a gun in a shoebox was found and apparently unless Mark Duggan was telekinetic then it was impossible he could have thrown it from the car without being seen and got it into that place.

/Why did his killing give licence for people in his own community to loot, burn and assault their own neighbours/

So you're blaming his corpse for the actions of idiots who saw this as an opportunity to rob, steal and commit violence? Wow,just wow. I am literally going to go down an lie in a dark room as I cant even begin to process that nugget of a gem.
Because it was mentioned in the programme and if certain sections of society feel discriminated against then there will always be unrest.

No sense in your lines... Bro.
/No sense in your lines... Bro./

I disagree and refute the claim that my lines makes no sense. Basically as our learned friend above ummmm cleverly breaks it down mark Dugans death wasn't the real reason but was the spark that ignited the keg.

No jobs,no future, discriminated for your colour as well as being harrassed by the police leads to frustration, anger and empathy. These aren't reasons for destroying your place of residence but if people can't get to the house of commons, the police stations "The suspected root of the cause" then they turn on what's nearest to them. It's a psychological thing which is clearly seen in mental health hospital outburst as well as prison riots.
I just wish that us caucasians who I assume that many of us here are could spend a year in a deprived black mans/womans skin for a year just so we could get the full flavour and full understand the daily trials and tribulations that many go through on a dai

My guess is that we'd change our views pronto.
