Is it The Met: Policing London?
Question Author
Yep that's the one
It's on now.
Question Author
Yes it's a repeat, are you watching it?
Yeah...
My thoughts were that it was just like every other big organisation, over managed by some folk sitting round a table scared to say the wrong thing and constantly looking for reassurance from each other.
I don't think it told us anything we didn't already know but the 'behind the scenes' footage of the two groups of police (one with the community leaders) watching the inquest verdict on tv was very interesting.
o God missed it
will it be on catch up ?

Azelle Rodney's shooters trial begins today
It's on BBC so you can watch it on BBC watch now.
thx umm

Nice to see his family, friends and supporters slate the police yet no mention of why he was carrying a gun.

And no mention of the riots and free shopping spree they had because of it
Live by the sword, die by the sword!! Why was he carrying a gun and why did his killing give licence for people in his own community to loot, burn and assault their own neighbours, ordinary people who worked hard in the community to build up businesses were ruined, thats how much they think of their own people, their own neighbours!
Didn't one of the community leaders say that many of those doing the looting were from outside the borough?
Why were armed police following him anyway?
Question Author
Ken, the looting went nationwide
Well they would say that wouldn't they!
Question Author
Ummmm, they were following him from a tip off, he was no angel apparently
Panky; yes i know that the looting and rioting spread to some of our other major cities but, to quote saintpeter48, "why did his killing give licence for those in his own community to loot, burn and assault their own neighbours." I was merely answering his quote.
I know. He was a gangster.
From the BBC website;
''Police intelligence form said Mr Duggan "was violent" and had "aggressively confronted" police on the Broadwater Farm estate in north London. Mark Duggan was a member of a violent gang involved in gun crime and dealing class A drugs, a senior detective has told an inquest. At the inquest, the jury was shown police paperwork suggesting Mr Duggan and his associates had been "directly responsible for murders".
A form quoting police intelligence said 10 shootings and two murders were linked to Duggans gang''.
