I didnt catch the so called repartee between Chris tarrant (who was the wrong type for this kind of show, he is too acerbic and it need sugary) and Shirley Bassey. What was said? She spoke about standing on water, which was true as you could see water underneath the glass stage. Why did Chris say sje was nuts once she had left the stage? The whole show was an embarrassment.

Don't know if it was live or not, just thought I'd give my twopenneth.......  Admittedly I only watched the first half hour or so (well up to the Ant and Dec bit) and thought that it was so cringeingly awful that I flicked over.  ITV are seriously scraping the barrel to celebrate their 50th year!
