Judge Rinder.

Let me say from the outset, that i find this one of the most entertaining programmes on TV. However, don't you find that there are an ordinate number of gays, lesbians and blacks? It may well be that they are representative of the UK.
Now, when he refers to a "fart in a lift" I find that quite unnecessary and offensive and i wonder how our Aber solicitors and Barristers feel about this. There are many medical programmes on TV but we do not see this degree of hilarity and rudeness as in Judge Rinder.
Just a thought folks.

your patients would never stand for you saying 'gerrout of here you stinky old man' but this is television and not surfical out patients .... He is in fact a criminal QC - I met a few [ beaucoup appeles peu choisis ] of the rejects down in Darzet - they went thro a few retired judges who turned the idea down -and for civil law I think he does quite well Clearly the fact...

It's not about the law, or him being an appropriate representative thereof, it's about television, and his entertainment value, and that is why he was chosen, and why he succeeds.
Imagining that Judge Rinder renders an accurate image of the legal profession is to assume that the hotel and catering industry enjoy having Basil Fawlty as a figurehead.

A-H I know! I know, but i just wondered if members of our Judicial society found it cringeworthy.
ummmm....Personally I find it offensive and inappropriate but i do accept that it is common parlance amongst friends and "gatherings."
However for a Judge to use that sort of language, on TV or otherwise, I feel it is degrading, insulting and inappropriate.

with all the ritual - you can tell when people lie ...

The Judge Rinder TV series is not about the people trying to attain justice, its about Judge Rinder, who some people find funny, and some not.
Most of the people taking part are there for their 15 minutes of fame, like the gay OTT Asian bloke today.
Its a bit like the Jeremy Kyle show, without the tattoos and benefit cheats, and yes there does seem to be a gay & black pattern.
