Although I agree she got off lightly for a serious offence I cannot see why an ankle tag was proposed as a punishment.If she were a burglar or guilty of child neglect and went clubbing at night I could see the relevence. An ankle tag wouldn't stop the continuance of the offence (Disqual/Driving) out of curfew hours. ??

It does seem a strange sanction - a woman with a small child is more likely to be in during the curfew times anyway.
