This looks interesting, at 21:00 tonight. It could be that the real murderer will be exposed.

The book ‘Murder At The Farm’ by Paul Foote is a very interesting read, and I fail to see how Michael Hickey, Vincent Hickey, Patrick Molloy and James Robinson were convicted.
I have tried many times to get a copy of the 1993 programme ‘Bad Company’ which was based on the case, but no luck.
So, yes, I am looking forward to the programme, and I like Prof. Wilson, too.

Depends what you mean by 'exposed' Mikey. Even then, there has to be sufficent grounds to charge the alleged killer. One has to wonder why it has taken so long to reach this position. If it was through DNA I may be more convinced.
Will try and watch it on catch up.

agchristie......
Apparently this documentary tonight was initiated because Spencer himself had approached a criminologist, Professor David Wilson, via his ( Spencer's) biographer, Simon Golding, offering a "no-holds barred" interview, in an attempt to clear his name.
As the original suspects were freed, the Police should have re-opened this murder enquiry years ago.
By the way, Spencer was convicted of another, very similar murder n 1979, and was released in 1995. Not, of course, that this proves anything, but interesting nevertheless.
Good report in today's Sunday Times, on page 7.
This is from the Wiki entry ::
"In February 1997, the latest in a number of appeals finally saw the men's convictions overturned, after the Court of Appeal ruled that the trial had been unfair, due to certain areas of evidence fabricated by police in order to persuade Molloy to make a confession"
Looks like yet another occasion where the Police have excelled themselves.

Its probably too obvious to say this but if the Police had investigated the Carl Bridgewater case properly, instead of fabricating the evidence, the second case, of Herbert Wilkes in 1979, that Spencer DID murder, might have been prevented.
These miscarriages of justice, involved Police corruption, are beginning to form a pattern...convict the wrong person(s) and the real murderer goes on to kill again.
