Many moons ago series were made of M*A*S*H Now I tried to get into it but the big factor was NO SUBTITLES so never could understand it

Sista was telling me she watches reruns on her TV and has said it is very funny.

I am looking to buy DVDs of them and have ensure they are subtitled.

Anybody think they were funny - thanks

Fabulous series JJ if you can find the DVDs with subtitles.

It is just I had bought Golden Girls series and they entertained me many a night - nearly two years - yea didn't have them on every night tho.

I have come to the end of GG so had been thinking of MASH. It is great to know other people enjoyed them not like those Boys Boys. Thank

was wondering how many series on the one disc
I thought you didn't speak American, then realised that you have hearing problems.
Yes they were very good in their day. Still shown on one of the Freeview channels.
Its on True Entertainment on Sky
Yes it was funny and poignant - it was a little long for my taste.
Question Author
If it is on True Entertainment then this where sista is enjoying them and I know for sure not subtitles are on that channel. More's the pity.
Yes I thought they were funny
Question Author
even sista said to me some time back - "pity you can' hear them but the innuendoes they came out with were unbelievable." what I am saying - her and like the same programmes nearly to a T
Try it and see if there are subtitles that you can turn on.

Whilst I haven't seen many around me lately - are DVD rental shops still in existence. There used to be one beside me and a few miles from me but they seem to be closed. If there were some I could always rent and see if I like them.
I have all eleven seasons (twice). And yes they are funny -- and yes, my DVD versions come with subtitles.
Have a look on eBay and Amazon to see if there are any cheap dvds of series 1 for you try
yeah go girl
the plots and the rest are a bit dated

MASHes were set in the Korean War - and the series was made during the Vietnam War ( NOT v funny for a lot of Americans ) so it has a definite seventies feel to it - remember there is a film as well with Elliott Gould in it also seventies- but the attitudes were very seventies

Mashes were abandoned in the Viet Nam war ( and displaced by cas evac systems ) because whenn they were over run by the Viet cong - they used to shoot - everyone esp the medical personnel
MASH.... Mobile Army Surgical Hospital
