I have just watched my first recorded I player programme. Will someone please tell me how to delete it and is it possible to increase the sound - it is fully on on the lap top and only goes up to 11 on the programme scale

Is the volume turned fully up on BOTH the iPlayer display AND on your laptop? (Click the speaker symbol at the bottom right of your screen to check your laptop's setting).

Downloaded iPlayer programmes on a laptop should automatically disappear once the period allowed for viewing them has elapsed. Alternatively you can delete them manually:

Thank U for your reply. I have clicked on the I Player logo which is on my main screen and it brings up the programme I am trying to delete. The only wording to the right of downloads is the word setting, and clicking on that produces nothing to show where to delete a programme. The sound on my laptop is at its highest setting and the programme sound only goes up to 11 (eleven). I will keep clicking till I find delete. Thank you

Did you actually download the programme, or just watch it streamed?

You can't delete it if you didn't download it.

I have no idea whether it was downloaded or streamed, but I have just moved my cursor to the right of the page (touching nothing) and up popped a message asking me if I wanted to delete. clicked yes and programme has gone. Thanks to everyone who replied
