I may be wrong but I thought the taxi driver Clive Lucas wasn't the father of Michael Lucas. That he had married his wife despite her having an affair with someone else?
And the DNA sample on the sock (as we know now to belong to Michael Lucas) would show no connection to Clive Lucas. Or have I misunderstood?

You are correct, Michael isn't Clive's biological father but the sock was Clive's. Leo the other person involved in the rape was the kit man for the football team and he provided the sock. Leo had issues with Clive's treatment of Michael so probably chose one of Clive's socks on purpose.

Of course I meant Michael isn't Clive's biological son not father.
