watched garden rescue BBC1 ..what has hapened to Charlie Dimmock ? she has morphed into a gargantuan size and now waddles instead of walks...would expect all that outdoors work to keep her trim...but she must spend all her time scoffing from the BBQ..really shocked..anyone seen it ?

Mind you, to be fair, she's a lot older than what she was when she first blossomed (see what I did there?) on telly. Age and gravity has caught up with her like it has with the rest of us. I think it's refreshing that she hasn't gone down the plastic surgery/ botox route that so many TV women seem to do.

Her mother and step father were killed in the Tsunami that hit Thailand in 2004 and this must have affected her greatly.

I am not saying that everyone who has a tragedy in their lives puts on weight, but she may be "comfort eating" to cope with the loss.

Who knows how she must have suffered in her private life.

She lost both of her parents in the boxing day tsunami.

Sad to see her in that state. We did some shopping in her garden centre once, she was so lovely.

boaty; that's a bit ungallant, I don't think she's in a "state" and she looks happy enough in those pics. Most skinny women on the telly seem to me to be rather miserable and aggressive.
I'd rather go out for a pint with Charlie than say, Emily Maitlis

Khandro..the pic is flattering..her health must be badly affected judging by her breathlessness and gait...needed others to do the stuff she would have done ..and I do now..nothing herculean , but her awkward gait seems to prohibit a lot of movement and flexibility thereof....

Anne ..if you had seen the prog then you would understand the shock reaction to the change...for me it was more the affect on her abilities rather than her "looks"

I've watched the programme for quite a while now and haven't really noticed her being out of breath, well, no more than I would be doing that kind of work.

I'm really surprised at the judgmental views. It's nothing more than body shaming. Sad really.
