It was announced at the end of 'Have I got news' last night that Frankie Boyle will be presenting next Friday's show. My OH said you needn't record that one for me. He can't stand him. He's too foul mouthed for his liking.
Who do you refuse to watch and for what reason?

With Hopkins, Dave it was the fact that he looked bored and sloshed throughout the performance......and opposite Judy Dench who was fantastic.
I was disappointed because it was a lot of money for me to get to London for a show in those days and he ruined it.

Then, a while later in an interview, he said at that time in his life he was drinking and had been bored playing Antony....well it showed and I've avoided him since...

Now Anthony Sher! First saw him in Revenger's Tragedy....he was magnificent.....
An off day I'd be fine with, it happens......playing a part that bored you and getting pickled to do it.....no!
I'm curious Baza, as a Scot, is that all 5 million of us?
What an intelligent and well reasoned comment.
gness....I saw Hopkins a few times in M Butterfly, in the West End, in the late 80's and he was mesmeric, but I think that was after he stopped drinking.

Dennis Quilley had an interesting story to tell in his auto-biography, about when he was asked by Olivier to take over in the Scottish play, when Hopkins failed to turn up one night.

ABs rules prevents me from quoting directly from the book, due to the extreme language, but its all here in this link :::

I am not sure if Olivier and Hopkins ever spoke again !
I'm with douglas re Alan Carr. Totally void of talent whatsoever. He was on The Last Leg a couple of weeks back - one of my fav progs - and as soon as he was introduced, i switched over.

Couple of others; James Corden and Michael McIntyre.

And if Patrick Stweart ever hosts HIGNFY again, i'll not be watching that episode.
I am not sure if Stewart was entirely well at the time of the recording.
Robson Greene - hate fishing programmes.

I too can't stand FB and won't watch him ...
1987 I saw him Mikey....and by sheer coincidence I was ranting on about his poor performance to a chap the next day....turned out he was Hopkins dresser......
He was shirty with me but maybe he said...Hey, Tony....Gness is really miffed with you.....and Hopkins gave up the drink..... ;-)

Mrs Brown !! keith Lemon... gino di campo wotsisname...
Keith Lemon because he makes me cringe. Miranda Hart because I don't find her funny (though I heard good things about her in Call the Midwife) and Frankie Boyle because the two times I watched him he was vile.
Jenny, I would deport him, the rest of you can stay, can't have you all going back as you would drink all the amber liquid that is exported.
There may well be "entertainers" I'm not keen on, but I don't recall any at the moment whom I would refuse to watch. I'd merely not tune in to some programmes.
So we're agreed then, it's horses for courses.
Jonathan Ross. Keith Lemon. Sarah Milican.
