Have just watched this episode. I am interested that he keeps seeking reassurance from his son and colleague. Probably a red herring as we now have the new chap on the phone. Basically I don't know who I believe. Do you think the sister/ex will be exposed?
I think it would be normal for a man falsely accused of rape to want to know that his family, friends and colleagues believe him.
I think she genuinely believes she's been raped.
When they arrived at her house she didn't appear to be in the slightest bit drunk.
Enlighten me, as i have forgotten.
Were there any physical signs of rape.....bruising, bleeding, abrasions?
No. But I think she believes she was drugged.
So, we really don't know if she WAS raped.
Exactly. He says they had consensual sex and she says he raped her.
And that's the point of the programme, Sqad, to find out.
ummmm

I am going on the PC way dramas etc are made these days.

In so much that they have to include a certain amount of diversity, which is very much in attendance in this drama, with black and Asian actors set in supervisory roles along with the inclusion of a mixed race marriage.
Well....if she wasn't raped....and there is little evidence of that, then there is nothing to find out.
Even the drug element has drawn a blank.
I don't think they are being PC.

Including mixed marriages isn't PC, it's a fact of life.
The viewers will find out in the flashbacks.

You are going off topic again OAG, its nowt to do with mixed marriage etc, its about a drama, and who is the liar, who are both white by the way ;-)
The lady who plays the sister was interviewed on This Morning and said the truth will be revealed in the next episode but it's not straight forward.
I think there is a twist involving the guy who rang the bloke and said she'd done this before. Wouldn't the police have seen that on her records?
trt

I am not going off topic, I was simply stating that I personally think that she will be found to be speaking the truth, based on the fact that modern day dramas give out a certain message, this one being that reporting a rape to the police is the way to go, and that if it proves to create trouble for her it may put off other victims reporting their rapes.

My reference to the diversity and mixed marriages was proof of the way certain messages are included in dramas in this PC world that we now live in.
But one of them is lying and if it turns out to be her then how would that put someone off from reporting a rape?
It is not PC to represent the actual diverse community we have......
What's he going to do about the earring though?
