I thought the same about the earing, either the police or the man would have seen it before. Really getting into it now, I think she's the liar, but is there going to be a real twist somewhere?
I still say that they won't dare make the woman the guilty one, it would give out the wrong message to other raped women who are deciding if or not, to go to the police.
Why not? This isn't about not being believed if a rape victim comes forward. It's a drama unravelling the truth. It's a fact that some women lie about being raped...and rape victims know that.
