Could anyone help please? I
have been getting RTE channel through sky 161 for years .now it says channel unavailable.

I'm getting Discovery Shed on Sky channel 161

RTÉ One should be available on channel 161 in Northern Ireland. (Ch 161 is used for Discovery Shed in mainland Britain but it's on Ch 233 in NI).

If your Sky box has lost the information it should hold about your location, it won't know which content to show on Ch 161. Alternatively, if your box thinks that you've not paid your Sky subscription you won't be able to watch RTÉ One. (Although it's a free channel on terrestrial transmitters, you need a valid Sky subscription to watch it via satellite). Either way you'll need to contact Sky to get the problem fixed.

There was a recent re vamp of channels
so 130 BBC news went to 231

one of my frenz has stuck on the old one and there doesnt seem to be a toggle to retune

sounz as tho you retuned automatically and something got lost in the wash

goodluck with contacting Sky - I have been lucky tonight in that I got mine retuned via a guy who works for Sky. Tuned upstairs and all.

could not get through to Sky at all. This guy was brilliant - all tuned in within 20 minutes.
