Only recently been a convert to this, did anyone notice the names of the patients he called in - Anita Bush and Theresa Green! Have they always done this and if so what other names have they used?

Another bit of useless trivia.
Doc Martin's name Ellingham is an anagram of the surname of the writer of the show .Dominic Minghella.

Really enjoyed the first series of this - found it quite refreshing. But as time passed it began to grate and I stopped watching it all together. Found myself wanting to punch the rude, arrogant man. Shows what a good job he's doing I suppose.

I'm reminded of the BBC Radio 4 comedy 'Radio Active', where regular characters included Mike Flex, Mike Channel, Mike Stand and Anna Daptor.

However the programme was well into its third series before someone in the BBC hierarchy noticed another name which was used in the show and demanded that the character was removed from the programme (only to be told that it was far too late to do so). I refer, of course, to Mike Hunt ;-)
