Absolutely brilliant series. One question though, there is a tremendous amount of smoking by the characters, how do the film makers fake that or is it for real ?

Herbal or Baccy the amount shown to be smoked cannot be good for anyones health surely.

I agree, so much smoking going but its probably made to look a lot as its done constantly within an hours episode. They must do a lot of takes an retakes so it does mount up.

I don't know if Cillian Murphy is a smoker in real life.

I've never watched it...but there is another series in the planning....but won't be seen until 2019 (just been on the radio)

I keep on saying this, but this show is by far the best thing I've seen on TV for donkey's years - the first 20 minutes last night left me breathless.

Just utterly compelling and completely superb.

I would happily pay the annual licence fee JUST to see Peaky Blinders.

I love the way they put contemporary music in a period piece.

Also, have you noticed that at the start of each episode this year there's been a different version of Red Right Hand?

I have noticed and also in series 2 I think there was one episode where they used 3 different versions. Love the PJ Harvey version.

One of the best drama series ever to have been broadcast, imvho. Just a pity that Tom Hardy will not be in any future series - the scenes between him and Cillian Murphy were always absolute electricity.

I don't understand why Tommy killed Alfie. I thought that there was a grudging friendship between them.

I heard a rumour or should say read somewhere that Alfie isn't in fact dead!

I guess we shall have to watch this space................ a 12-18 month space :o(
