There is a difference between sacked and yearly contract not renewed.

From the link, he has not been sacked, the BBC have simply exercised their option not to renew his contract for the next series.

That is their right, as it is their right not to explain their reasons if they choose not to do so.

But is may not be accurate to say he has been sacked.

That is not what your link says.

It says he is not returning, it does not say he has been sacked.

If that is what Mr Cole is saying, then he may be in error, and he needs to be careful. Accusations of dismissal, when unfounded, can be actionable.

Brendan has been a lot less argumentative over the last few years than he was previously. He used to get in to real spats with Len and Craig and regularly lose his temper but has calmed down a lot.

I think the Beeb is just bringing younger pro dancers in to the show.
