What If Anything Do You Remember About The Film The Towering Inferno? From Memory?

I was going to say i remembered Shelley Winters doing a lot of crying, but just before i clicked 'answer now', i remembered that was the Poseidon Adventure, another disaster movie.
Am i remembering correctly that, in some way, Towering Inferno resembled what happened at Grenfell Tower in that those who built it had cut corners?

Poseidon Adventure. Another one of my favourites.
Shelley Winters was the ex champion swimmer in that , who had a heart attack after going under water to free someone else.
The character that cries and snivels all the time is Susan, who is travelling with her little brother.
Quite liked the 2006 remake, too.

I love the Towering Inferno. One of the best examples of the 1970s disaster movies. With Steve McQueen and Paul Newman starring, you cant go far wrong can you? Excellent casting and great special effects
