Does anyone know why tremendous knowledge Dave has not been on for ages, or have I just missed him?

I think you've just missed him. The 'Tremendous Knowledge' label is dubious i.m.o., I'd pick him before the others on most subjects apart from music because he was (is?) a DJ and most of the questions are on pop music.

^^ I do, too, minty. They 'deselected' CJ, I think, in view of the accusations from his past and someone told me that Daphne was ill. Have you noticed how their make-up team is subtly turning Judith into an older lady to make up for Daphne?

Daphne Fowler is 79, Judith Keppel is 75 - no makeover necessary.

I seem to remember that Dave was nicknamed "Tremendous Knowledge" by the radio station where he's a DJ - not created by Jeremy Vine.

I agree with minty. Miss CJ the programme is very bland now. Also wondered what had happened to Judith she looks so different this series.
I agree with jourdain2 Dave certainly hasn't got tremendous knowledge. Seems an ok chap but wish he would stop the idiot Vine calling him that and also all the other silly nicknames Vine seems to find amusing.
Before anyone ask why I watch it if Vine annoys so much. Have watched for years and like to answer the questions. Only quiz programme without a lot of hype.

Dave has asked not to be called TKD (just Dave will do) but idiot vine thinks its fun to torment him. If he tried calling Chris "train driver Chris" I think he would come unstuck, although he does remind him was a train driver quite often. I don't think Dave has left eggheads, I wonder if we have been watching repeats that were made before Dave joined.
