My son (49) absolutely loves Laurel and Hardy and quotes them often. Have never seen the attraction myself.
Me.
'The Music Box', work of utter genius and well deserving of it's Short Film Oscar x

Not an avid fan, but totally agree with 'The Music Box' as one I could watch again and the part in 'Me and My Pal- trying to find the lost jigsaw piece.
Too many to mention.....could watch them endlessly.
When I was a kid they would often be shown around 6 pm on BBC 2, a welcome antidote and alternative to the news.

One of my favourites is actually a caption for one of the cut-scene graphics. It read simply:

The night was dark....

They usually are.

Still tickles me today!
First film I ever saw was a Laurel & Hardy but can't remember the title.
Never my cup of tea but in their day I can appreciate their skill and athleticism. Same goes for all Silent movies. Even keystone Cops. :-)

My humour is very much black, cynical and laconic. MASH fits the bill
Always enjoy a re-run of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
^^^ that never gets old Chill ^^^

I LOVE early black and white films, I'm a massive Harold Lloyd fan actually in preference to these two but I can't wait to see the film x

Pure genius. It was always the facial expressions as much as anything else.
Looking forward to seeing it, as I believe parts were filmed in Worthing. In the Lido.
Should be fun.
My wife can't stand them....for me they were brilliant
I love 'fat and Stupid'
I can't stand them but my Dad loved them. All I can remember is them singing 'In the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, in the shade of the lonesome pine'. My dad had RAF mess room words for that song too lol!
me
Love them. The boat building one and the one where they’re trying to deliver a piano stand out as memories. I love the way Olly looks at the camera with a resigned look which must have been pretty radical at the time (breaking the 4th wall, I think it’s called) and immediately involved you in his plight. Genius.
Me and my sister used to giggle our heads off as kids! Still appreciate them today. Love the facial expressions too.
Not a fan. I grew up with them on the telly all the time, but I really didn't care for them too much.
Sons of the Desert is my favourite : some of them were really clever as well as being funny.
My favourite bit in The Music Box is when they finally manage to lug the thing up the steps and someone points out there was a road up the back they could have driven up instead. So they lug it all the way back down the steps and take it up the road on the carriage. Priceless
I don't :-(
