I didn't watch it but would of given up on the 2nd,maybe 3rd, episode if I didn't know what it is all about. Too many 'Emperor's clothes' sort of entertainment these days.
I was fascinated/appalled by the Rwandan massacres, and was hoping the drama would shed some light on it. Apart from the culpability of the French & Belgians, very little came from the programme.
i know, Kate was a mystery, apart from the fact that she was indeed a Hutu, whereas she had been brought up to believe she was a Tutsi, where does Michael figure in all this, and what happened to Kate's family, were they killed in the massacres. I found it all a bit obscure, well done but somewhat mystifying.
