I just watched this film for the first time on friday and I'm having mixed feelings about it. I haven't read the book but maybe I should as the ending is, to say the very least, ambiguous. It leaves you thinking that he didn't commit any of those murders and that it was all in his head but I think he did although over exaggerated to prove the point that he and the world he lives in is so self absorbed.

Does anybody have any other theories??

trust me mattk it aint as simple as that - it never usually is

The book is the way forward (Brett Easton Ellis).

It's a violent slog, but casts more light than the film (Which is played for laughs in comparison), first read 'Less than zero' which sets up the tone and some of the characters.

You must read the book, i love the film, but as always the book is ten times better
