> Why Is Taylor Referred To As They Or Them Etc On Billions?
Because "he" isn't right and "she" isn't right either. It's simply as you'd talk about anyone whose gender you didn't know or didn't fit he/she. For example, if I told you I had a cousin, you might ask me how old they were; if I told you I had a female cousin, you might ask me how old she was ...
ellipsis: "Because "he" isn't right and "she" isn't right either." - well it's one or the other!
Talbot: What The Funicular are you on about? I have a full understanding of Billions the program.
pudie, PMSL, BA
Slight overreaction and painting into a corner methinks.
Meanwhile it just makes a daft situation worse to, not only make out someone can be a gender different to what they are merely because their mental situation doesn't allow them to accept who they are, but encourage their confusion by referring to them as if they each were multiple people. It's a crazy world.
I don't know what the OP is about either but having read //Dillon is the first non-binary gender identifying actor to ever be cast in a major television series.// I'm rather pleased I don't. I'll leave it there. ;o)
Haven't watched the programme.(sue me) However, people can and do lose their jobs for not using others' preferred pronouns.
It was how Jordan Peterson first came to prominence. (as far as I know)
IMO high time that stopped then Spicy. One should not be able lose one's job for speaking the truth and refusing to be bullied into participating in a lie.
