Then it dawned on me. She is in Benidorm. She plays the mother in law of the couple whose name I cannot think of. The one who makes all the nasty remarks. Is it Sharon's mum?

The Dawson's came after the Garvey's left, and Loretta was Sharon Dawson's mum

This has answered another question - the one who played Janice is the one who played the con woman in The Widow and I've been trying to think where I had seen her.
