Love Withnail & I, but I have a twisted sense of humour.

2001 is as boring as hell, Dances With Smurfs (aka Avatar) is pretty but pointless and The Exorsist has aged really badly.

Titanic, Dunkirk. Strange how people rave about modern CGI to sell a remake of a film.
I much preferred the Black/White film of Dunkirk starring John Mills, Gordon Jackson, Johnny Briggs (Mike Baldwin) than the recent rendering.
A Night to Remember starring Kenneth Moore was also a more dramatic portrayal of the Titanic tragedy than the Hollywood pap that followed.

I think where and how you see a film makes a difference. I saw Gravity on Imax and 2001 in Cinerama, sitting in the third row in the middle. Both were awesome. I still enjoy them on TV but a 40-inch screen is no substitute for a 60ft one.

Quite correct jno. My mistake. It was Robert Urquhart from the TV series Pathfinders whom I confused with Gordon Jackson in the original 1958 film of Dunkirk.

I hated It's A Wonderful Life, the dialogue was clunky, as was the editing, and everyone seemed to shout their lines.

South Pacific was just homo-erotic weirdness.

Don't Look Back was odd, with a strange denouement.

I am sure others will come to mind.
