the crown is a netflix series about QE2 - the 3rd series starts in nov
His dark materials is based on a trilogy of books by philip pullman which are quite simply the best books i have ever read. There was a film a few years ago of the first book (which IMHO was awful)

The series are often better than the book bednobs and visa versa

one of the problems with the fim was that it was baed solely on the first book, whereas book 2 and 3 are better

I found that with a film ( and book) called The Help,only I found the book better
