if you have smart tv and can do catch ups, All4 are re-running such shows as ER, St.Elsewhere and my favourite Hill Street Blues, not sure how long they will remain on it but those were wonderful in their day.
I can see why you like this series ,Tilly ,being about teaching.
I preferred the other Delderfield classic which I also have on box set,' 'A Horseman Riding By'
tilly
they did a run of the entire series of When the boat comes in a couple of years ago, with the lovely James Bolam, as to the others i have mentioned check out All4 if you have the right smart tv as they are all award winners in my eyes.
and yes Z Cars was innovative, of its time...
Never seen any if those... but just out if interest, do any of you remember the test card?
I mentioned it to a neighbour and was convinced the girl had dark hair and my neighbour said she was blonde?
another innovative show - er, in a way - was "public eye", which showed the reality of the life of a private eye; no square-jawed hero he, Frank Marker, but a seedy low life detective skulking on street corners eating fish and chips....
The builder thanks for that. I hadn't though to look.
i am currently watching reruns of Scott and Bailey with Suranne Jones and Leslie Sharp, another blinder of a drama from the pen of Sally Wainwright. That's on ITV catch up, but they are showing the programmes Monday evening on itv at 9pm and 10pm
