But Maudy - in her addled state - had forgotten that her friend had collapsed a few days earlier and had been admitted to hospital. Instead, she believed her to be missing. Even immediately after visiting Elizabeth in hospital with her daughter, Maudy said "Elizabeth's missing." Signalling that the Alzheimer's had definitely taken hold.
