Does anyone know if this film is a Netflix only film? Or is it out on general release - it doesn't seem to have appeared at any of our local cinemas as yet - or hasn't it been released here in the UK yet? Cheers, Chox.

it was in cinemas last year
It only got a very limited cinema run (in the States) to qualify it for the Oscars. Whether it got a UK run, I don't know. Its probably Netflix only by now.

It looks way to harrowing for me.

so mne wasnt then? It opened in uk cinemas last year
Marriage Story had its UK premiere at the London Film Festival last October and was then shown in some independent London cinemas (as well as in Belfast) from 15 November. It launched in independent cinemas in Aberdeeen, Bristol, Cardiff, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield a week later. The following week it was shown in independent cinemas in Birmingham and Chester.

It looks as if the big chains won't be allowed access to the film while Netflix holds the principal UK rights to it. It's currently only scheduled for a single showing in Wilmslow on Wednesday and at London's Barbican Centre for a single showing on Thursday.
