Because it is so bad. Last night Jimmy Tarbuck told a joke the wrong way round forgot when the pictures ended , was singing flat and introduced a singer with the wrong name. Frankie Howard act was completely unfunny and Arthur Haynes , Rita Webb did a sketch with JT which was simply dire. Cannot wait for next Sunday, surely it cannot get worse

Ha Ha I saw that enough to make you cringe. It will get worse me thinks. :0)
It was of its time.

If you think that is bad - and it's not, just unsophisticated to our modern eyes and ears - then check out Billy Cotton.

How anyone would ever dream that he was suitable as television entertainment looks like an utter mystery now, but as I say, it was of its time, as everything is.

I watch it sometimes as well, it's hilarious and how young is BF??
I think the end of the show is funny, the way they just keep going round and round waving. :0) :0)
Yes I agree. How times have changed.

we once sat listening to a ventroliquist on the wireless ,
Peter Brough and Archie Andrews,
never saw his lips move once.
Peter Brough later appeared on TV with his creation Archie Andrews and became a figure of fun as everyone could see how utterly hopeless he was as a 'ventriloquist'!
I think the male singer was Robert Goulet.Anyone know for sure?
