Jeremy Vine (Again)

Is it time for the radio 2 programme on every weekday hosted by Jeremy Vine to be removed? Every day some part of it is devoted to the current crisis and JV always introduces a negative attitude and seems to delight in stating the worst case scenario. At best he's depressing, at worse he's creating fear. Should he be allowed to do this on a daily basis?

I've never understood the presence of a 'current affairs' slot in the middle of Radio 2's music schedule anyway. (That applied just as much in the days of Jimmy Young as it does now with Jeremy Vine). So I'd happily see the programme scrapped, even if I didn't also regard Jeremy Vine as immensely irritating!

I don't know anything about his radio show but I enjoy the Tv on ch.5 in a morning.He and Storm are doing a good job considering the difficult circumstances at the present time.

Never liked him on TV but quite enjoyed his radio show until lately. Afraid I turn over to Radio Scotland when he is on. Quite condescending and negative.

I don't listen to radio 2, but do like the JV show, nothing to do with Storm... mmmm Honest.

Vine is quite upbeat compared to him.

I said exactly the same thing yesterday about his dismal manner. He seems to absolutely relish anything bad that's going on. I for one would love his programme to go off air.

He is a dreadful presenter of anything and should be removed from tv and Radio.....absolutely appalling ... and his whining voice makes me want to slap him. How did he ever get where he is?? I agree totally with Grumpy01....but would put it more strongly....

I don't watch or listen to him, as I find him insufferable, but I'll take ten of him over one Piers Morgan. Poor Suzanne Reid has the worse job on television co-hosting with that windbag.

I am surprised at the BBC continuing with a programme that for five days a week, every week, pours doom and gloom into the country. They served the nation much better during the war, broadcasting programmes that lifted the nations spirits, not like today, especially with this presenter who seems to be quite happy with his doom mongering.

Isn't that describing AB at the moment? - I could almost name who "seems to delight in stating the worst case scenario".
I rarely am able to listen to it but when I do I like the JV show, the diversity of the public opinion on any topic never ceases to amaze me.
