So disappointed this was a repeat with a new bit tacked on. It wasn't flagged as a revised repeat and I hope the rest of the series isn't this format.

They might have edited out some of the planned content if, for example, one of the participants is currently struggling for his life in hospital, forcing them to fill in with some old material.

Here's what should be in next week's programme:

Some times, if a programme has been shown on another channel previously, they don't mark it as repeat on the 'new' channel. It's a bit sneaky and I've been caught out.
I knew it was going to be a repeat when I saw the Barn’s old thatched roof! It was replaced after the first series.

This is halfway through a new series and the previous episodes have all been new. This is the first 1 hour series of The Repair Shop and they obviously put a new item (the vibraphone) on to an old 45 minute episode.
My Radio Times usually states revised repeat, previously shown on x channel etc but nothing this time. I noticed the old thatched roof, too.
The first series was 30 minutes long then they went to 45 minutes. This series is the only one with hour long episodes. It is odd to put a repeat part way through a new series.
I see your point, Buenchico, but three items out of 4 were repeats - the tractor, the plate, the compass.
Yes, we were disappointed too and switched over when we realised.
I really don't understand the way BBC works. They transfer a very successful programme to their main channel and then immediately change the format.
Also, last night's was narrated by Robert Pugh, who narrated the most recent half-hour versions, but the new hour-long BBC 1 episodes had gone back to Bill Paterson until last night.

Bill Paterson is a great narrator, wish they’d bring back The Rebel.
