After repeatedly letting down this once great nation, most recently over the Last Night Of The Proms songs, the left wing BBC omitted to include Labour MP Tom Watson from last night’s documentary on Carl Beech, despite Watson’s scandalous key role in that fiasco. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8652661/BBC-edits-Nick-documentary-victims-say-Tom-Watsons-role-scandal-airbrushed.html
Should the BBC now be scrapped?

That’s not good enough, Ken. We’re paying for a service that we expect to be impartial. It is not.

Not scrapped but definitely reformed. The idea that only these extremely expensive few can present a programme is so laughable. Bring on new talent including management.
Thanks Theland. I'm not sure how reliable those stats are and whether they cover all parts of the BBC including radio but they seem to suggest the numbers of 'ethnics' are 'in line' rather than 'over subscribed'
Ichk - its simple. Watch the TV.
Look at how many BAME news readers and reporters there are, as well as actors in every drama and soap.
Don't need figures to confirm what I see.
Naomi, I don't pay my licence fee for the news or current affairs programmes on the BBC. I pay it for the excellent dramas it produces/imports.
//It's a claim made all the time by some, but few examples are ever given//

The BBC’s political editor, Laura Kuenssberg, has been accused of biased reporting more than once - and justifiably so. She still has her job though.
She has been criticised though as being biased by both sides. She seems anti government at the moment but was ticked off I recall for being anti Corbyn before the election
The point is she should be impartial - as should the BBC. She isn't - and neither are her employers.

Most people say that is the reason they pay for the licence, the problem is nearly 4 billion pounds is a lot of money for a few drama's.

And that is a problem because ...?
Anybody with a grain of common sense could save them millions by simply reducing the stupid wages paid to the likes of Lineker.
(Add your own to the list!)
Vulcan, if you're paying 4 billion pounds for your licence, you're being scammed. I only pay £157.50 which, for the excellent dramas shown each year, is good value for my money.
Ken, you've just made yourself look rather silly.
Ken, I presume that you are in employment and can afford £157.50 pa but there are many over 75,s who cant, so it is hardly good value for them.
In what way, Naomi? For saying the licence fee is value for money? I believe it is much more value £ for £ than the almost £500 per year I used to pay for the full Sky package some years back.
Danny, I believe that those over 75 who cannot afford the licence should be exempt. Doesn't alter my views on anything else I've said.
Ken // the almost £500 per year I used to pay for the full Sky package some years back.//
That was your choice, there is no choice with the licence fee.
Ken, I’m not sure what you’re arguing here for. If all you watch are BBC drama productions your experience of that which is eliciting complaints is severely limited - if not non-existent. I don’t see how that can possibly render you a worthy judge.
Ken, in a few months time I start paying my licence fee again. Like you I can afford it but it's the principle, although I no longer watch BBC I still have to give them money, that is not good value for money.
If only we could see them making the effort to save some money.
The relevant figures start at five minutes in. Disgraceful.
