I can't really tell from the OP who's left, but I suppose I can hazard a guess!

This isn't quite in keeping with this discussion but the tv presentation of the dances is annoying in that the emphasis should always be on the footwork (to which the judges refer e.g. last night, Craig referred to a mistake made by Bill Bailey) The tv presentation, however, favours numerous close-ups of the dancers during which, of course, their feet are not visible and we don't see the mistakes that the judges see and refer to.

Two clients, who have been watching this, both of which ran dance schools... enjoyed it at the beginning, but are now saying the costumes aren't right, and it is now showing off instead of dancing. Just their views...

It's one of the programmes mum still understands, she is so critical, hates the emphasis on performance but understands every step. Ex ballroom dancer. Misses dancing so much.

If it's any consolation, rowan, ex-dancers seem to be the physically fittest and most flexible, the longest. It seems much better than sports.
